ORP to OGS or New Methods of Base Wiping

Our PvP rules changed with the wipe, please make sure to read them thoroughly.

Added: Tribe names have to be identical on all servers in the cluster.
Added: Each tribe can define one ORP location per server.

Changed: When logging out with active PvP-Cooldown the ORP-timer is 45 minutes
Changed: Ragnarok/Valguero: Building around the wyvern trench or in the wyvern cave is not permitted.

Removed: Teaming is forbidden in all raid activities.
Removed: Raid protection is only granted if your main base got raided.
  • OGS (Offline Guard System) or ORP (Offline Raid Protection (Official Style)) 14

    1. OGS (7) 50%
    2. ORP (1) 7%
    3. Current ORP With a Duration Timer (6) 43%

OGS is a much better set up and substitute to the current orp, that still allows bases to be wiped freely after a grace period is up. Set it up as 3 weeks, if a tribe doesn't log back in within 3 weeks, that orp disappears and that base becomes raidable. 3 weeks give people enough time and leeway to return, you set an area it covers and how many are allowed on the map at once.

Or have the current ORP, which is set up well in terms of S+ tools n the timers, but with a duration timer, after the time is up, orp disappears. Both of these things allow raiding inactive bases or clearing up even taming pens or random dinos gates.

People are disappearing off the servers and these big lootcrative bases are just been structure wiped after a week or however long, when people who could make use of the stuff inside, It brings more action and fun to people who might not necessarily have the numbers to raid big tribes online, but gives them the chance if they've left the server for good. Tribes can also contest these abandoned bases and fight each other for the loot inside. It would also make admins Jobs easier, rather than them having to come on and wipe bases, if someone wants an abandoned base moved, they can wait out the grace period and work for that spot themselves.

Let people utilise these big abandoned base and stop letting the hard work some have put into their bases be wiped, when they could quite clearly give people a challenge even offline.

  • I suggest setting timer on current orp to 7 days and then maybe wait 14 days before doing complete wipes.

Allowing inactive bases to be raided would help new people have a fighting chance against the end game tribes.

It would also give end game tribes something other to do then pissing on new tribes and wiping them off the server.

  • ogs system is much better in every aspect when i read about it and we need to change something with the pvp cluster because population is running low and we rather want to have that new system instead of another wipe what i would always like there is nothing wrong with that ^^ but if we want wipes we would play on another cluster.

we play on ghost because they dont get wiped every 3 months thats why we like ghost cluster a lot.

valguero or something fresh it would be so good

  • Hello Jaycarroll56

today we've discussed this suggestion, but we decided to decline it for multiple reasons.

One of the main issues with this is that the map would be full of raided structures. There is a good reason for removing inactive dinos and structures after a certain amount of inactivity. Imagine the flood of raided structures left behind and especially small ones (cables, pipes, foundations etc.).

In addition, this will make the management of inactivity tickets impossible for the team. You can't imagine how much work it is to reset the timers manually of inactive tribes on multiple maps. And we all be on vacation sometimes.

These are some of the reason why we decided to decline this suggestion.
